Summary

The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine section in the Department of Medicine is recruiting a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to work with our Critical Care teams. This person would be responsible for administrative support for all critical care providers in the section including shift scheduling, reimbursements, managing CME budgets, credentialing, payroll questions, physician productivity, and general administrative needs.

Job Duties

• Assists in schedule creation and management in QGenda and other relevant systems. Serves as point of contact for scheduling issues.
• Assists in the recruitment of faculty and APPs including managing applications, postings, and interview scheduling
• For assigned faculty, gather information and enters supplemental pay requests.
• Manages on-boarding process and provides training for new providers regarding billing practices and procedures.
• Provides administrative support including calendar management for the Medical Director and Chief of Service.
• Assists with gathering quality and productivity metrics
• Responsible for credentialing process for new providers and re-credentialing for existing providers.
• Serves as the TxEVER administrator and point of contact to maintain physician library, assign death certificates and troubleshooting.
• Audits and analyzes billing work queues and implement improvement plans as necessary.
• Manages didactic activities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Serves as the team lead for the faculty support team to provide guidance, training, and mentorship as well as serve as an escalation/triage point for transactions and processes.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
