Summary
The Program Management Associate manages the Cancer Research Education Program. This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Program, and conducts research in education, and prepares/coordinates laboratory protocols for the training and lead research education program. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs, or processes. The position is a highly collaborative, self-motivated, creative person that is adaptable to new processes with capacity to function independently. The employee hired is knowledgeable (or able to become knowledgeable) of current cancer health trends that can be developed into programs implemented at both the individual and community level.
This position is onsite only and requires being in office Monday - Friday.
Job Duties
- Organizes research education programs for Cancer Research Training.
- Prepares research education materials including protocols, lab manus, course materials etc.
- Research: reads literature and write/publish education materials for Cancer and Health Care field.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships to foster intern recruitment, their research experience, and Outreach.
- Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for intern research education programs and services.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to promote health equity for ethnic minority population.
- Incorporates cultural competence, multicultural diversity and social justice concepts and principles into Community Engagement and Outreach services.
- Knowledgeable (or able to become knowledgeable) about clinical research participation and advocates for diversity and representation in clinical. research/trials.
- Prepares materials, sets-up, plans, and implements events and networking activities.
- Serves as direct contact for students, faculty, and the community by phone, email or website inquiry.
- Ensures day to day operations, maintain accurate event calendar and communicate event details with the team. Prepares meeting agendas, reserves rooms and facilities, and distributes minutes of meetings.
- Coordinates/schedules events, team meetings, steering committee meetings, collaborator meetings, luncheons, seminars, webinars, conferences, and travel plans.
- Compiles all data required for progress and financial report.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in biological science or related degree, public health, or health education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
