Job Summary/Basic Function
POSITION SUMMARY :
Agriculture Research Development Program ( ARDP ) in the College of Engineering, Science, Technology and Agriculture ( CESTA ) at Central State University is seeking a Research Technician in Biology/Human Health lab. The preferred candidate will have experience in mouse surgical assistance, tissue culture techniques, PCR, ChIP, immunoblot, FACs analysis, and ELISA .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the project director, the research technician will conduct duties to include but are not limited to the following: blood and tissue collection from rodents, tissue culture techniques, PCR, ChIP, immunoblot, FACs analysis, and ELISA . The ideal candidate should have basic molecular biological experience and experience working with rodents. The candidate must successfully work with the project director, staff, and undergraduate students to conduct research projects. All other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Ability to maintain and safely operate laboratory equipment and tools
- Ability to communicate well with students, staff and administration
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with a diverse group of students and faculty/staff. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of performing experiments under sterile condition. Ability and willingness to learn and grow with the University’s Land-Grant Research programs.
- Ability to present research work in regular lab meeting
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in molecular biology lab
- MS in Biological Science
