Description:

The School of Art at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor of Painting position to begin Fall 2025. We seek outstanding candidates with a dedicated commitment to painting and an active engagement with contemporary issues and discourse. The Visiting Assistant will teach a 3/3 load with courses at varying levels.

The successful candidate will have an active exhibition record with attendant critical attention, and a developing record as a teacher and professional in the field of contemporary art. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, able to collaborate with faculty on the shared goal of setting a positive and energetic tone for the Painting Program.

Qualifications
Candidates must have an MFA, and college-level teaching experience beyond graduate school.
