Annual Giving Coordinator
This position serves as the annual giving liaison for 3-4 assigned schools, colleges, and units and is responsible for developing and executing unit-specific and central annual giving strategies, providing regular reporting on key performance metrics, and ensuring best practices are utilized in all annual giving initiatives. This position also plans and executes large-scale, central digital and email campaigns annually and assists with special campaigns throughout the year that focus on increasing UGA’s alumni participation rate. This position is also responsible for managing the annual giving recurring giving program including strategy development, branding, and creatives, reporting and analytics, and future state recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives, and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building, and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.
About the Office of Annual Giving
The Office of Annual Giving is responsible for the ongoing regular solicitation of alumni and friends for support of the university’s mission. The office observes an annual fiscal year cycle to engage donors for opportunities to renew and enhance their support of the University, its Schools, Colleges, and Units. Special Giving initiatives are for unique audiences within the university’s constituency including but not limited to leadership annual gifts, faculty and staff giving, parent giving, recurring gifts, anniversary giving, matching gifts, crowdfunding, and consecutive year giving.
Duties/Responsibilities
(45%) Manage a portfolio of 3-5 school, college, and unit annual giving partnerships.
- Plan and implement multi-channel annual giving strategies for assigned schools, colleges, and unit, including direct mail, email, digital, phone, texting, etc.
- Coordinate special giving campaigns for assigned schools, colleges, and units.
- Advise school, college, and unit development staff on annual giving best practices and coordinate school, college, and unit involvement with central annual giving initiatives.
- Analyze key performance metrics for annual and special giving campaigns and provide reports to school, college, and unit liaisons.
(40%) Plan and implement centrally driven annual giving digital and email campaigns.
- Plan and execute large-scale central annual giving digital and email projects, including partnering with the division’s communications department (DARCOMM) to create design and messaging, with the central annual giving team to coordinate with schools, colleges, and units, with advancement services to create proper queries and selections, with donor relations and stewardship to create a stewardship plan for donors, and with vendors to execute the project as needed.
- Analyze and provide reporting on the performance of each digital and email project.
(10%) Develop and implement a monthly recurring giving program.
- Coordinate monthly recurring giving program targeting alumni and parents, with a special emphasis on young alumni. Collaborate with the central annual giving team to coordinate with schools, colleges, and units, with advancement services to maintain a website and reporting tools, with gift accounting to create gift processing procedures and with donor relations and stewardship to create a stewardship and engagement plan for donors.
- Analyze and provide reporting on the performance of the program.
(5%)
- Respond to donor questions and concerns from phone, email, and direct mail efforts.
