Nursing Simulation Lab Manager
Full-Time Administrator (Level 15)
Salary Range: $62,000 - $72,000 (Annual salary is commensurate with experience)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Reports to Director of Nursing
This position will close on February 16, 2025.
*This position requires the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances to be submitted to Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
BASIC PURPOSE:
Nursing Simulation Lab Manager assists the Director of Nursing in the leadership and management of the Nursing Simulation Skills Suite (NSSS). The Nursing Simulation Lab Manager has primary responsibilities in the areas of the nursing admissions processes, clinical agency clearances, and Nursing Simulation and Skills Suite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitates all aspects of the Nursing Program Admissions process, including reviewing student eligibility for admission and collaborating with the Nursing Director and academic advisors throughout the process.
• Assists with faculty and student orientation to the simulation skills suite
• Resolves student, faculty and staff concerns related to the NSSS.
• Assists the Director in preparing accurate, current records and reports as required by the College and approval/accrediting organizations.
• Performs and coordinates the NSSS faculty assignment process.
• Creates semester schedule of all simulation, and lab activities.
• Ensures students and faculty meet clinical agency clearance requirements.
• Coordinates acquisition, upgrading, warranties, and maintenance of equipment and maintains inventory of durables.
• Reviews software, equipment, and medical supply orders.
• In collaboration with the Nursing Program Director, reviews, modifies, and develops procedures specific to the simulation lab.
• Maintains Nursing Resource Center on the Canvas LMS.
• Represents the Nursing Program at recruitment and community events, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required, Master’s preferred.
• Requires a minimum of two years of related experience in a healthcare office or hospital administration. This experience should include inventory management, equipment maintenance scheduling, and project management.
• Current registration as a Professional Nurse in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in nursing practice required.
• Experience with nursing specialized accreditation and development of accreditation documents preferred.
• Knowledge of contemporary educational practices and standards including, but not limited to, the use of alternative delivery systems, instructional techniques, and distance learning modalities.
• Commitment to the incorporation of information literacy, technology, writing, and diversity in the curriculum.
