About CCSU’s Manufacturing and Construction Management
Manufacturing and Construction Management ( MCM ) is housed within the university’s School of Engineering, Science and Technology. The Department offers various programs designed to prepare students for a variety of technical and leadership positions in any public or private sector business and industry. Our degree programs six of which are professionally accredited by ACCE, ABET, or ATMAE -- respond to an increasing demand for highly qualified personnel who have a combination of skills in management and technology for production-oriented industries that includes but is not limited to manufacturing, construction, supply chain, and technical service.
Position Profile
Candidates will teach courses in the following subject areas at the undergraduate and graduate level: Production and Operations Systems, Supply Chain Management, Quality Systems, and Logistics Systems. Additional responsibilities include advising students, serving on departmental and campus-wide committees, holding office hours, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in traditional academic functions.
Applicant Evaluative Criteria
Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:
Education:
All applicants must possess Ph. D. any field of Management, Engineering, or Industrial/Engineering Technology.
- Candidates with an M.S. in one of these fields in addition to 10+ years of combined industry and academic experience in one of the above subjects will be considered.
Experience and Training:
Ideal Candidate
Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
- Evidence of experience or collaboration with industry
- Able to teach graduate-level courses
- Experience with experiential learning methods, such as student design and capstone projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Compensation and Employee Benefits
In accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for this position is at the rank of position Assistant Professor for 2024-2025.
