Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Patrol Assigned Areas: Conduct regular patrols of designated parking lots and garages to monitor for parking violations and unauthorized vehicles.
  • Enforce Parking Regulations: Identify vehicles that are parked illegally, including those without valid parking assignments, exceeding time limits, or occupying reserved/handicapped spaces, and take appropriate enforcement action.
  • Issue Citations: Issue parking citations using handheld devices to violators, accurately documenting the infraction and recording necessary information such as license plate numbers, vehicle descriptions, and location details.
  • Provide Customer Assistance: Assist customers with inquiries, directions, and general information regarding parking regulations and available parking options.
  • Respond to Incidents: Respond to reports of parking disputes, vehicle accidents, or other incidents within parking facilities, and take appropriate action to resolve conflicts and ensure safety.
Requested Minimum Qualifications

Educational:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:
At least two (2) years of previous experience in parking enforcement, law enforcement, or a related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • This position involves walking for extended periods and navigating parking facilities on foot. It also involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, as well as occasional indoor patrols of parking garages. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required to ensure coverage during peak parking times.
  • Parking enforcement vehicle or golf cart to be driven. Samsung tablet and handheld printer. Panasonic Toughbook to be used inside of the enforcement vehicle. Office computers, printer/scanner/copier, and a-frame signs.
