Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete all required tutoring training and meetings.
• Perform individual and group tutoring in the SciTech math courses, with an emphasis on calculus 1 and lower.
• Assist students in improving study skills and learning strategies.
• Promote self-directed learning and independent learners.
• Refer students as needed to other Center or campus resources.
• Complete required documentation of each tutoring session.
• Assist in Center marketing efforts.
• Complete other tasks as needed related to general management of the LEAD Center.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2.8 institutional GPA and in good academic standing.
• At least sophomore standingandnot a first-semester freshman.
• Ability to dedicate at least 5 hours per week (about two days per week).
• A or B in any course you tutor.
• Recommendation from a CURRENT Fairmont State faculty member in your subject area.
