New York University, a preeminent global research university, seeks a dynamic, collaborative, creative, and visionary leader as the next dean of the Tisch School of the Arts. Building on Tisch's reputation as a leading educator of artists and scholars, the next dean will develop a shared vision and strategy that extends Tisch's position as one of the world's premier centers for training in and study of the performing, cinematic, and emerging media arts.

The dean will address the following opportunities and challenges:
  • Articulate a compelling vision for arts education in a global research university
  • Recruit, retain, and develop excellent faculty and staff, and steward organizational culture
  • Continue to support and enhance a vibrant Tisch Community
  • Ensure the highest caliber education and student experience
  • Steward education on multiple campuses
  • Oversee Tisch's financial resources and budget to drive the School's success
  • Serve as Tisch's external advocate and fundraiser
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, with an anticipated salary range of approximately $600,000 to $668,000 for a 12-month appointment.
