Job Description:
Position Purpose
Facilities and Campus Operations is an exceptionally talented team built from a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about providing the highest levels of quality craftsmanship, customer service, and teamwork through sustainable practices and who take pride in supporting the mission of the University and Facilities and Campus Operations "We Care" principle values.
To advance the University mission through providing general and technical planning expertise to a wide range of projects and programs. Areas of work include planning for all facets of the campus and built environment, including strategic and long-term planning, stewardship of existing buildings, use and analysis of space data, project initiation and planning, landscape planning, guideline and standards development, program and preliminary design review, and compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Facilities/Campus Planning,
or a related field and a minimum of 2 years experience in
facilities or campus planning and/or architecture; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- Experience in all phases of design and construction
projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and
priorities.
- Ability to effectively manage client and user group
expectations with budgetary constraints.
- Introductory level knowledge of building systems (envelope,
mechanical, electrical) zoning and building codes.
- Proven experience with MS Office, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit,
modeling software, Adobe Creative Suite and various graphic
software and programs.
- Excellent written, verbal, collaboration and communication
skills, to work with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrated commitment and responsiveness to internal customer
needs
- Proven ability to handle and resolve issues with insight and
diplomacy.
- Space data visualization skills preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse
perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.

This position is classified as hybrid eligible.
