JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications and Program Management (70%)

  • Partner with Career Services team members, as subject matter experts, to develop and execute a large number of career development programs. This role will be in charge of selecting/creating the delivery modality for the programs, as well as overseeing all logistics (travel, catering, budget, evaluation, etc.)
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Events, Conferences, & Support Services team, as well as work closely with other campus constituents to partner with and promote Career Services opportunities
  • Market all programs and opportunities to students utilizing various forms of communications, including, but not limited to, digital, email, content, and social media marketing

Technology Management (10%)

  • Implementation of a project management software to ensure tasks are accomplished
  • Act as a superuser for our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Oversee updates, training, and maintenance of office technology utilized in programming

Data Management (10%)

  • Partner with office assessment team and Sr. Associate Director to execute the coordination, deployment, and analyzing of program evaluations

Management and Supervision (10%)

  • Train and supervise 1-2 student assistants

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Directly supervise, hire, train, provide work direction and problem-solving assistance and evaluate performance for student assistant(s).

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week
  • Some nights/weekends required for programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, skills & ability:

  • Program management and event planning experience, from inception through evaluation
  • Strong organizational skills required to balance a variety of tasks with a high degree of competency and accuracy; ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort interacting with individuals at all levels, both on the university campus and in the business community
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Familiarity with higher education environment preferred
  • Familiarity with project management and customer relationship management software preferred
  • Knowledge or experience in virtual event software and learning management systems preferred

Education & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least one to three years relevant experience

Salary:

  • Pay grade 6: ($47,154.00 to $62,483)
