Tenure-Track Faculty, Interdisciplinary Studies

The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) seeks applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. This position will support USCB’s growing Interdisciplinary Studies major by teaching courses toward the degree requirements, mentoring and advising students through the process of creating their own individualized course of study, pursuing a robust research and scholarship agenda, and providing service to the university. Courses taught will include but are not limited to Interdisciplinary Studies Research Methods, Beyond the Classroom 1 & 2 (experiential learning courses). Interdisciplinary Studies Internship, cultural Historiography, Special Topics, and Readings in Philosophy. The successful candidate will also be expected to create new courses related to their expertise and research area.
