Position Description
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained. This position will work closely with the following departments Student Financial Aid & Scholarships and Student Business Services.
Major/Essential Functions
- Coordinate and oversee outreach initiatives related to financial well-being and literacy (in collaboration with Student Financial Aid & Scholarships) to prospective students and families. Including but not limited to attending student recruitment processes and events, and outreach throughout new student orientation.
- Oversee financial well-being and literacy education prior to and during new student orientation. Including but not limited to: oversight of educational module, one-on-one meetings with students and families, and development of communication materials.
- Coordinate outreach and support initiatives for various at-risk student populations.
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching sessions to students and families as needed.
- Provide support for Financial Well-Being & Literacy, Red to Black, and Academic Innovation as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in financial planning, Higher Education or equivalent area, Accredited Financial Counselor certificate.
