Job Summary
The Office of Academic and Learning Innovation (ALI) at CU Boulder is encouraging applications for the Online Learning Video Production Assistant position! As a Video Production Assistant with the Office of Academic and Learning Innovation, you will support Learning Experience Designers (LXDs) and the Video Production and Media Design Specialist in working with faculty to develop video content for courses hosted on Coursera, a global learning platform.

The Office of Academic and Learning Innovation (ALI) is an agile and responsive unit of CU Boulder Online within the Division of Academic Affairs tasked with designing next generation learning experiences that engage the local and global University of Colorado Boulder community. Our mission is three-fold: inspire a re-imagination of instruction and learning, expand access to high-quality learning experiences, and transform higher education for the 21st century. Our work spans innovative on-campus program development, MOOCs, scaled online courses, programs, and degrees, and designing new business and technical processes to support our academic vision.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
In this temporary, project-based Video Production Assistant role, you will consult with faculty on video design and development and turn raw footage into polished, professional instructional content. Responsibilities include meeting with faculty and LXDs to determine editing specifications; editing raw video and audio for learning content; providing regular status updates to Learning Experience Designers on video development; organizing and managing video files according to ALI guidelines; proofreading captions, titles, and text elements for accuracy, clarity, and consistency; following guidelines to ensure video content is accessible to all learners; conducting comprehensive reviews to ensure edited videos meet quality standards; uploading finalized video content to Coursera and course development files. Overall video editing for content produced for both non-credit and for-credit offerings on the online learning platform Coursera.

- This is a part-time position, expected to work 20 hours per week.
What We Can Offer
The hourly rate for this part-time position is $20.00 per hour.

What We Require
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
What You Will Need
- Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to email in a timely manner.
- Time management skills and an ability to meet project deadlines.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience editing videos in Camtasia and/or Adobe Premiere.
- Experience building online courses for the Coursera and Canvas platforms.
- 1-2 years experience working with faculty.
- 1-2 years of online program development experience.
- Previous experience working in a similar role at CU Boulder.
