Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine professional and analytical assignments involving the practical application of management principles and techniques to routine operational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Grant and Contract Management: Create, review, and manage contracts related to external funding. Follow up on student contracts and ensure timely processing and completion.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and maintain grant budgets, ensure compliance with funding agency requirements, and generate monthly financial reports. Handle invoicing for all grants every month.
- Procurement and Travel Management: Oversee procurement processes related to grantfunded activities, including managing travel arrangements for faculty and staff in compliance with institutional and agency guidelines.
- Funding Agency Liaison: Serves as the primary point of contact with funding agencies, ensuring clear communication and adherence to agency requirements. This includes coordinating funding agency visits and audits.
- Hiring and Program Implementation: Assist in hiring processes for grant-funded positions and in planning and implementing new programs supported by external funding.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and maintain data related to department publications, grant deliverables, and other elements required by funding agencies. Monitor and report on program effectiveness and outcomes as specified by funders.
- Outreach and Engagement: Facilitate outreach efforts to build relationships with funding agencies and potential partners while promoting the department’s research initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing programmatic activities and administrative work required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques used in collecting, compiling, and organizing data and information.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
