Salary Range: $39,703- $52,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Oversee the administration, coordination, and assessment of graduate student success; research, develop, implement and support the programs and other student success initiatives. Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert to college and university administrators and leaders with regard to institutional barriers impacting graduation and retention.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives designed to achieve improvements in retention and graduation rate for graduate students to College of Science assigned to as liaison.
- Collaborate and communicate with students, graduate advisors, and administrators to trouble- shoot graduation barriers and provide timely solutions for students. Review DegreeWorks, course registration and student records to identify patterns related to graduation barriers.
- Implement the BOLD Doctoral Journey which entails providing tools to support student success for students, GARs, faculty and staff.
- Develops and distributes program materials; Coordinates marketing and communication about graduate student success initiatives including DegreeWorks and IDP/annual review with constituents across the university.
- Maintain accurate records and provide data, research, reports and summaries of graduation-related initiatives to Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies (ADGS) in the academic college. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping and analysis of the data.
- Serve as an active, positive and engaged team member of the Graduate School and liaison to the College of Sciences.
- Works closely with Senior Manager of Administrative Support Operations (SMASO) to develop and manage assigned procedures, paperwork, and data integrity for the Graduate School and academic college.
- Works with faculty, advisors, and administrators to determine roadblocks and barriers encountered by graduate students; assists SMASO and ADGS in developing college plan for graduation improvement.
- Explores new models for effective and efficient delivery of graduate student initiatives and tracking of graduate student progress.
- Analyzes and draws conclusions from data, identifying key impacts on retention and graduation at UTSA.
- Represents the Graduate School and other student success initiatives in university or community events that may occur outside of normal work hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited.
- Three years of experience in program administration, coordination or academic advising.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative on individual assignments.
- Manage program related activities independently.
- Demonstrate ability to serve as a consultant to college administration on issues relating to retention and graduation.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of academic research design and the process of conducting such research.
- Experience working in fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.
- Experience with confidentiality of student records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree with background in STEM via coursework.
- Five years of experience working with college students in program administration, coordination or academic advising.
- Experience using Banner.
- Experience using DegreeWorks.
- Thorough understanding of the UTSA student information system.
- Experience in program administration, coordination or academic advising in a higher education environment.

This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
