Job Description:
NOCCCD is now accepting applications for Theatrical Lighting/Stagecraft Instructor Pool-Part-Time at Fullerton College!
Lighting classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 AM -1:50 PM in the Fall and 8:30 AM -11:00 AM in the Spring.
Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.
Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment
OR
Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment
OR
Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
Commitment to diversity. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience within the topics of theatrical and event lighting.Strong working knowledge and experience with ETC lighting consoles, lighting networking, and various intelligent lighting fixtures.Familiarity with show control and DMX peripherals.Software experience with ETC Nomad, ETC Augment, Vectorworks, and Lightwright.Understanding of CTE program objectives with a robust background in theatrical electrician work at a theme park or entertainment venue.LMS experience/training (canvas).
Detailed experience teaching technical theatre courses, especially introductory classes, with innovative teaching practices supporting success and retention of women, students of color and students with disabilities.
Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.
Working Conditions:
Salary Range: Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate

Special Instructions Summary: This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
