Basic Function
This is a professional expert, short term temporary opportunity
Representative Duties
- Implement and support student identity development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of community and campus engagement activities including enhancing student access to BC and campus services that are inclusive of all identities.
- Support Mental Health efforts by providing trauma-informed, on-scene response, and intervention services.
- Support the college with recommendations and advice for cultivating a safe and welcoming campus community through direct services, programming, and advocacy.
- Provides education for the campus community on support services and reporting options for sexual misconduct.
- Provides intervention, resource information, referrals, and a semester support group to those who have experienced interpersonal and mis-identity without judgment and while maintaining confidentiality.
- Cultivate relationships with community partners.
- Collaborate with campus partners to provide basic needs such as housing, clothing, food assistance, and health services.
- Participate in debriefing and direct service meetings.
- Attend trainings, staff and committee meetings as needed.
- Serve as a visible spokesperson and advocate for BC's mission, services, and programs in the campus community.
- Act as primary liaison between BC and respective campuses and community stakeholders.
- Assist in the training of campus students, staff, and faculty regarding Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault, and Healthy Relationships
- Assist in campus and community education, training, and outreach requests.
- Attend campus events and respond to participants' needs, such as in-person, on-scene support.
- Serve as BC's liaison and foster positive working relationships with the campus by participation in relevant networking groups, specifically campus and community committees.
- Develop training materials and outlines for community and campus presentations.
- Create warm referrals to on and off campus resources.
- Maintain and track information and activities as required
- Adhere to KCCD Board policy with regard to confidentiality of client records and information.
- Coordinate and implement campus and community prevention education and outreach efforts.
- Represent BC and the campus at public speaking engagements and provide presentations on BC services, Sexual Misconduct advocacy, crisis prevention and intervention to campus and community groups, and/or at campus and community events.
- Oversee the coordination of all awareness months (e.g., Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Child Abuse Awareness Month, Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month) Data collection and reporting.
- Identifies, recommends, and pursues opportunities, programs, and events that address student equity, campus climate, especially in regards to student equity populations with noted disparate impact, namely including, but not limited to, Native American/Alaskan Native, former Foster Youth, Student-Parents, and LGBTQ students.
- Other related duties as assigned.

International or Foreign Degrees
