The Georgia State University Honors College is currently recruiting a Director of Academic Assistance. This position is vital to the mission of the Honors College through its supervision of student advising, interaction with academic departments and university offices like the Registrar and Enrollment Management, and its ability to work collaboratively with the Honors College leadership to make data-informed decisions regarding scheduling, enrollment, and other curriculum-related matters.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
· Supervise between three to four full-time Honors College advisors.
• Work with Honors College leadership to recruit instructors, manage curriculum proposal process, and plan curriculum.
• Track data analytics regarding enrollment, retention rates, and other information to assist with decision-making regarding future scheduling.
• Interact with colleagues in other units across campus who also focus on scheduling and enrollment management.
• Collaborate with Honors College Business Manager to arrange transfer of funds to academic departments
• Maintain Honors courses across the university and tracking them in Banner and CAPP.
• Process Honors Dimension Forms and One-time Honors Course Forms
• Create and Coordinate Banner process for Honors two-year programs
• Coordinate implementation of Honors College classes across all university units
• Review Student Evaluation of Instructor (SEI) with Honors College leadership
• Provide counseling to Honors students under special circumstances
• Make decisions as primary recommender for exceptions for Honors College policies, rules, deadlines and other academic criteria.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and experience.

• Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Ability to take initiative
• Attention to details
• Demonstrable experience and success in management of projects and/or groups
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated superior verbal and written communication skills
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
• Experience working in an academic setting
• Expert proficiency with Excel and advanced data visualization functions required.
• Experience with Banner, OneUSG, Slate CRM, Navigate
• Experience with recruitment and retention of high-ability students
