Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Advanced Technologies at Auburn University at Montgomery ( AUM ) is seeking a Storage Area Network ( SAN ) Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- To assist the Associate Director of Infrastructure Services & Support and the SAN Administration Supervisor with network administrator and SAN responsibilities to include overseeing, implementing, maintaining, configuring, provisioning, ensuring the integrity and security, and reliable operations of the Alabama Medicaid Agency’s SAN on-prem, appliable appliances, and storge resources in the Azure cloud and associated network and telecommunications related functions within the Medicaid Central Office and District Offices, SOBRA sites, and Disaster Recovery site.
- Administer storage, backup and disaster recovery administration responsibilities for the Agency.
- Storage Area Network experience (including enterprise and modular arrays, SAN switches, and running fiber)
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 2012/higher servers and SQL environments (including presenting and managing storage on servers)
- Veeam experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university
- Five (5) years of Storage Area Network experience (including enterprise and modular arrays, SAN switches, and running fiber)
- Five (5) years of supporting VMware.
- Five (5) years’ experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 2012/higher servers and SQL environments (including presenting and managing storage on servers)
- Five (5) years installing and administering Backup Systems and software (prefer Veeam experience)
- Three (3) years administering disaster recovery solutions and off-site storage systems.
- One (1) year of development and testing of Disaster Recovery Plans for various business applications.
