JOB SUMMARY:
Provides high level administrative support and directs the day-to-day administrative activities for the Center for Student Leadership & Engagement (CSLE) Executive Director and other designated staff within the Center. Serves as primary office professional in CSLE providing communications, administrative support, and project coordination. Supervises student office and marketing assistants; coordinating all CSLE marketing efforts. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - ADMINISTRATIVE: Serves as the administrative support role for CSLE Executive Director and designated staff within CSLE. Performs support and routine office functions to include the following key responsibilities: calendar management to include scheduling of all meetings/locations/logistics; preparation of itineraries and needed materials for conferences/meetings; travel logistics as needed; recording of meeting minutes and tracking of follow-up actions; management of work orders; creating, editing & distributing office correspondence/reports; and coordinates special projects as directed. Ensures effective office systems are in place including service-oriented visitor greetings, record keeping, and telephone and email protocols. Manages the procurement of office supplies and equipment in compliance with all applicable division guidelines and university policies and procedures. Hires, trains, and supervises student office assistants ensuring they provide excellent customer service through all interactions with others.
25% - Essential - COMMUNICATION: Serves as a primary administrative contact for the CSLE office; responding to emails and voicemails in a timely manner. Performs duties in a professional, service-oriented manner and is responsible for maintaining a positive and welcoming environment in the main office of CSLE. Manages all internal and external office communications by providing outstanding customer service to students, parents, and other campus stakeholders. Assists in the development and maintenance of the CSLE office web page. Represents CSLE at various programs and events.
15% - Essential - FACILITATION & COORDINATION: Provides support in various processes and projects as appropriate and directed. Serves as the departmental HR Liaison to the Student Affairs Business Operations (SABO) office: ensuring required divisional processes are followed; necessary paperwork is completed for personnel actions; bi-weekly departmental timekeeping hours and paysheets are reviewed prior to communicated deadlines for payroll accuracy; and notification of all needed HR actions are communicated to SABO in a timely manner. Maintains departmental professional personnel files for the Executive Director in a confidential manner. Assists CSLE staff as needed with departmental purchases using the appropriate university business system. Provides support by serving as a resource for financial procedural questions and support for all CSLE staff. Handles all departmental deposits and revenue reconciliations as required under State and university policies, laws, and regulations. Responsible for the coordination and accuracy of CSLE office equipment inventory, and input of all items into the Digital Asset Tracking (D.A.T.) system.
15% - Essential - MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS: Oversee CSLE marketing initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of projects within established timelines. Provides strategic direction, collaborates with staff to align project goals with overall marketing objectives, and ensures the quality and consistency of marketing deliverables that adhere to brand guidelines. Provides direction, hires, trains, and supervises student marketing assistants that support the marketing efforts of CSLE.
5% - Essential - COMMITTEES & COLLABORATION: Serves on division and/or university-wide committees and work teams to support internal and external collaborative efforts as directed by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Other - Limited night and weekend work may be required.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary: ($ 38,985.00 - $45,704.00 )
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
