Salary Range: $4,000 per course.
Hours: Part time, fixed-term track, exempt.

Essential Functions
The Department of Public Administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is considering applications for part-time adjunct lecturers to teach in its Master of Public Administration (MPA) and the Bachelor of Public Administration and Policy (BPAP) degree programs for Spring and Summer 2025. Adjuncts are paid per course taught. Undergraduate courses are mostly taught during the day. Master's level courses are taught in the evenings. For Spring 2025, we are particularly looking for someone who can teach PAD 3163. Quantitative Analysis for Public Administration and Policy.
This undergraduate course will be offered twice a week at Main Campus, in person in a computer lab. It introduces students to the nature and practice of evaluation in the public and nonprofit sectors, and to the basic skills necessary to understand and conduct such evaluations. This course covers collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting information.

Required Qualifications
Master's Level:
- The qualifications to be considered as an adjunct lecturer in the MPA program are a doctorate degree in public administration (or related field of study), or a master's degree in public administration, or related field of study, with a strong record of professional work experience relevant to the course's specific subject matter.
Undergraduate Level:
- The qualifications to be considered as an adjunct lecturer in the BPAP program are a master's degree in public administration, or closely related field of study.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Level:
- Teaching experience is desirable.
Undergraduate Level:
- Teaching and/or work experience relevant to the course's specific subject matter is desirable.

Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
