About the Job
Duties/Responsibilities:
The post-doctoral associate will work on a clinical trial focused on Tourette Syndrome (approximately 50%). The post-doctoral associate will have responsibility related to project management and data collection, including administering the research protocol behavior therapy under the supervision of Dr. Conelea.
The fellow will also assist Dr. Conelea and project Co-Investigators with tasks related to data analysis and grant and manuscript writing. The position will include opportunities to learn about and contribute to a range of research methods used in the project and in the lab more broadly, including phenotyping, video-based behavioral observation, neuroimaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, modeling, and neurocognitive assessment.
The position will also spend approximately 50% effort delivering outpatient clinical care in the OCD, Tourette, and Anxiety CBT Program for Youth at the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. The candidate will receive clinical supervision from licensed psychologists (Drs. Moore, Conelea) to support the obtainment of supervised hours for clinical licensure as a psychologist.
The post-doctoral associate will also have opportunities to attend Departmental activities related to professional education and development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
PhD in clinical or counseling psychology. Prior experience delivering cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions for adolescents and young adults.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience working with individuals who have tic disorders/Tourette Syndrome, anxiety, OCD or related conditions and experience delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Research experience in tic disorders and/or closely related comorbidities such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anxiety, and/or ADHD.
Preference also given to candidates with a demonstrated track record of research experience.
About the Department
The post-doctoral associate will be a member of the Minnesota Tic and Compulsivity (MnTiC) Laboratory at the University of Minnesota. The lab is led by principal investigators Dr. Christine Conelea and Dr. Brianna Wellen and conducts research investigating the etiology, maintenance, and treatment Tourette Syndrome/tic disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Our research spans development (childhood through early adulthood) and methodologies. The MnTiC Lab is a vibrant group of scientists, research coordinators, and students, and we have strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across the UMN system, including faculty with expertise in neuroscience, psychology, computer science, pediatrics, and childhood development.
The MnTiC Lab is part of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The Department of Psychiatry has well-established training programs, including a NIDA-funded T32 fellowship program, APA accredited clinical psychology internship, adult psychiatry residency, six psychiatry fellowships, and clinical and research practica for psychology graduate students and medical students.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: Salary range is $61,008 - $74,008, depending on education/qualifications/experience, per NIH guidelines.
