Pay Range Information

Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The primary objective of this role is to provide administrative support for the Mediation Clinic and Dispute Resolution for Juveniles Clinic programs at Chapman Fowler School of Law. The School has been awarded funds to provide various conflict resolution programs. This person is responsible for assisting Clinic Co-Directors with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, invoicing, and auditing for the Clinic programming activities and services provided. This is a temporary position, not to exceed 76 hours per month (approximately 19 hours/week).

Responsibilities

REPORTING
  • Data entry, data preparation, and data analysis including information intake, attendance recording, performance metrics, and follow up surveys.
  • Narrative responses to standard questions reporting on programming on a monthly and quarterly basis.
FINANCIAL
  • Managing draw-downs and availability of grant funding.
  • Tracking cost share/match.
  • Drafting monthly invoices according to hours worked on each program.
  • Managing the budget across multiple programs for multiple salaries.
  • Determining allowability, allocability, and reasonableness for contract purchases.
ADMINISTRATIVE
  • Coordination with Mediation Clinic Co-Directors, and acting as a liaison with other partner organizations, contracting parties, and university administration.
  • Contract/grant administration and compliance responsibilities.
  • Providing support to auditing/desk monitoring as needed.
Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in providing administrative support in a professional office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to convey data insights to various stakeholders, and to coordinate with Clinic Co-Directors on various projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience or knowledge of Clinic or externship programs.
  • Familiarity with the principles of Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and Restorative Justice.
  • Experience as a mediator or Youth mentor.
