Position Summary
The Department of Mathematics at Southern Utah University invites applications for a Lecturer of Mathematics position starting August 2025. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track (NTT) position. The responsibilities of this position are two-fold: effective teaching and dedicated service. The hired candidate's teaching schedule will be coordinated between them and the department chair, consisting of mostly 3- and 4-credit classes, for 30 credit hours each academic year (typically 15 per semester). These courses will primarily be at the general education and developmental level in mathematics and statistics. The hired candidate will teach regularly face-to-face and online courses. Committee work and professional development are also expected. Those candidates with at least 5 years of full-time experience teaching college mathematics or those with a terminal degree in mathematics may be eligible for appointment at the higher rank of (NTT) Assistant Professor.
