Job Description
The Editorial Designer and Multimedia Content Creator is responsible for capturing high-quality photos, creating eye-catching infographics, and designing our bi-annual magazine. The incumbent’s work will support Monarch Magazine, news stories, and PR efforts, elevating our visual identity and engaging our audience.

Considerable proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Exceptional creativity and a keen eye for detail. Considerable organizational and project management skills. Considerable communication and collaboration skills, including ability to articulate editorial concepts and ideas. Strong typography, color theory and page composition skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience in professional editorial design, with a strong portfolio of work.
Some experience with creation of infographics and other materials to support news and/or media relations. Some experience working in a marketing communications office.

Considerable experience with magazine design and production.
Some experience with videography and/or video editing. Some experience with photojournalism.
Conditions of Employment
Given the nature of the position in University Communications, the employee occupying this position may be required to work outside regular workday hours as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
Salary range between $ - 56,051 - $70,000
