Job Summary

Coordinator I, Special Programs will provide varied administrative support for grants within the College of Education. Responsible for a variety of administrative duties in the college requiring moderate exercise of independent judgment, initiative, and ability to make decisions relative to office operations.

Job duration/continuity is based on grant funding. This grant funding expires 9/30/2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Submits travel requests, submits expense, and non-travel expense reimbursements, reconciles procurement card statements, requests purchase orders, processes invoices, arranges travel, submits travel requests, as well as maintains office supply inventory and purchases for grants.
  • Organizes and assists with academic and research activities, including monitoring scholarship processes through Mav Scholarship, and completing monthly expenditure reports and budgets for grants.
  • Provide support to Principal Investigator of the grant, including, but not limited to, document processing and management, organizing meetings, reserving rooms, key requests, and general copying and scanning.
  • Types correspondence for publication, letters, forms, exams, course syllabi, website maintenance, and other colleges workflows.
  • Assist with coordinating and managing virtual and in-person events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma with six (6) years of relevant/related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with UT Share/PeopleSoft or related software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the University’s academic policy and procedures.
