Summary

The lab is seeking a research technician position at entry level. Technician will be responsible to perform research work of a complex nature that requires establishing test methods and procedures as well as planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor.

Job Duties
  • Plans, directs, and conducts research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
  • Trains and orients less experienced research staff.
  • Defines problems and possible solutions.
  • Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment and environment.
  • Assigns activities to less experienced research staff.
  • Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens.
  • Supports the lab by performing data entry, loads instruments, performs maintenance on all types of equipment, gather supplies for testing.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties for your supervisor.
  • Contributes to a cohesive team environment.
  • Uses Thermo Vanquish UHPLC coupled to LTQ ion trap mass spectrometer for profiling of DNA encoded library reactions and knowledgeable about RP-IP chromatography of oligonucleotides.
  • Assists with DMPK study design and interpretation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in English.
