Work Location Typically, on-site; position may be partially remote, based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined with the supervisor.
Salary Range : $ 85,000 - $95,000 per year (12-months). Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

The College of Business invites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor of Real Estate and Property Management (REPM) to start before the end of the spring 2025 semester. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track, full-time position on the Management Team.
This is a 12-month position with a workload formula 60% teaching (equivalent to 6 classes per academic year), 30% administrative (curricular oversight of the undergraduate emphasis and certificates in REPM), and 10% professional development (for required on-going practice-related activities to maintain a minimum of AACSB "Instructional Practitioner” status).
The AACSB International accredited College of Business enrolls approximately 2,000 students annually. The College of Business offers comprehensive undergraduate degrees, select master’s degrees, and professional programs that emphasize principle-based ethical decision making. Essential Functions
Teaching (60%)
- Teaches 6 undergraduate classes in real estate and property management.
- Teaches primarily in-person classes at the UCCS Downtown Campus.
- Other classes and modalities may be assigned as needed.
- Mentors students both inside and outside of the classroom.
Program Management
- Responsible for the day-to-day, year-round management, and administration of the College of Business REPM Program in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Designs and modifies curriculum as market conditions evolve insuring compliance with College of Business accreditation standards.
- Works with the Team Lead to staff courses in a timely manner; this may include the recruitment and selection of new lectures when needed.
- Develops and oversees an enrollment management strategy for the REPM program.
- Oversees community engagement including internship/career placement and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Counsels students on career paths, international internship opportunities, university standards as deemed appropriate.
- Represents the REPM program at official events.
- Oversees the recruitment process for undergraduate students.
- Serves as the point of contact for prospective graduate students.
- Serves as the program contact with students and/or parents during periods of concern (e.g., student discipline, student health, academic performance, etc.).
- Serves as the official contact between the Sport Management program and the College of Business, UCCS campus, or CU System.
- Serves as the voice of the program during special events (graduation, awards ceremonies, recruiting fairs, etc.).
- Serves as program contact with the local and regional sport community leaders.
- Engages with university, community, and faculty in a collaborative and collegial manner.
- Participates in both internal and external professional service activities and community engagement.
- Oversees the marketing activities involved in recruiting students to the REPM program. This entails working with program staff as well as College of Business and possibly campus marketing groups.
- On-going practice-related activities required to maintain a minimum of AACSB "Instructional Practitioner” status.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A completed Master's degree is required.
- Applicants must have at least two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in a property management role within an organization.
- Any amount of prior and relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Ideal candidates will have a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, DBA, or JD) in a business-related discipline.
- Ability or interest in teaching in a variety of formats including in person, hybrid and online classes is a plus.
- Any amount of relevant industry experience that includes current engagement in professional activities is highly desired.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and fine motor skills.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
