IT@JH Enterprise Directory and Messaging is seeking a Systems Engineer who is responsible for providing Imprivata and Authentication support for faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to be a subject matter expert in the Imprivata system and Authentication systems, including Multifactor Authentication methods (i.e. SmartCards, Azure MFA) and WebSSO technologies (i.e. Shibboleth, SAML, OIDC).
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible for maintenance, support, security configurations and third-party integration for the Imprivata Desktop Single Sign On and EPCS system.
- Works with internal customers and vendors to build solutions to support the various applications using Imprivata for authentication.
- Collaborates with internal IT teams to ensure innovative solutions meet all security and standards required by the institution.
- Provides support for:Imprivata systems, Desktop client and Multifactor methods, including Virtual SmartCards, YubiKey, Microsoft Entra MFA, and other MFA methods.
- Provides support for Johns Hopkins Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, Johns Hopkins affiliates, Johns Hopkins Community Hospitals, academic departments, and researchers. Customers will primarily be in the United States but may also be located around the world.
- Participates in an on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years related experience.
- Previous experience supporting Imprivata and MFA. This includes but is not limited to Imprivata EAM, Azure MFA, and Smart Cards.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering an Imprivata environment and MFA for a large-scale company or school.

Starting Salary Range: $73,300 - $128,300 (Commensurate with
experience)

During the Influenza ("the flu") season, as a condition of employment, The Johns Hopkins Institutions require all employees who provide ongoing services to patients or work in patient care or clinical care areas to have an annual influenza vaccination or possess an approved medical or religious exception. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment.
The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
