Description
Under the direction of the Program Graduate Assistant, the Elliott Student Union Program Assistant plans and coordinates events and activities in support of the Elliott Student Union’s missions.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary Functions
- Assists with the preparation of the Elliott Student Union programs and events by working closely with the Programs Graduate Assistant to implement and execute events.
- Attends and works Elliott Student Union events, including Cinema Showings, Holiday Market, Mules on the Mic Nights, Bowling Events, etc.
- Plays a critical role in helping implement new and unique traffic generating events for the Elliott Student Union.
- Makes reservations on 25live and confirms set-up arrangements.
- Collaborates with event staff from Union Programs and various departments across campus (such as Sodexo, The Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity, Mo’s Activity Council, etc.) to ensure the execution of successful events.
- Must be currently enrolled at the University of Central Missouri
- Preferred candidate will be a returning student for at least one additional school year
- 2.5 GPA required
Students are limited to working no more than 20 hours a week (Sunday-Saturday) while classes are in session.
