Purpose of Position

EngageKY has received a three-year AmeriCorps Volunteer Generation Fund ( VGF ) grant to support
volunteerism on Kentucky secondary and postsecondary campuses. The $1M EngageKY+ grant aims to increase the capacity of Kentucky secondary and postsecondary institutions and their community partners to use effective volunteer management practices, providing funding to EngageKY member institutions to do this work. The grant will also support the creation of a statewide platform to collect volunteer data, develop an effective volunteer practices resource for our campus partners, increase the quantity and quality of volunteering in Kentucky secondary and postsecondary institutions, and strengthen and/or increase high-impact tutoring, mentoring, and
other school-based or out-of-school time programs.

EngageKY+ seeks a Program Manager to lead programming efforts for primarily student-focused events andprograms as well as to assist the Program Director in EngageKY member events, technical support, datacollection and management, and data analysis.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Program Development and Implementation (55%)
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to design and execute programs that enhance volunteerism and community engagement at Kentucky’s secondary and postsecondary institutions.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of the Kentucky Hunger Dialogue ( KHD ), including organizing the annual conference, managing student fellowships, and overseeing related communications.
  • •Assist in the development and execution of the annual EngageKY community engagement conference.
  • Work with campus partners to identify and implement volunteer initiatives that address community needs and support student engagement.
2. Data collection and analysis (20%)
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, files, and data to support the Volunteer Generation Fund grant.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to the VGF grant, including evaluation and reporting.
  • Utilize current and future technology platforms, such as Salesforce and GivePulse, for efficient data management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and accuracy, and to support the development of insights and recommendations based on collected data.
3. Policies and Procedures (10%)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of AmeriCorps-specific policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective program implementation.
  • Provide support and respond to inquiries from member colleges regarding policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for grant recipients to enhance their understanding and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Review and update policies and procedures periodically to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
4. Technical Assistance (10%)
  • Provide technical support to VGF sub awardees, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to implement grant-related activities effectively.
  • Travel to member colleges to offer on-site support and guidance for grant-related initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and resources to assist member institutions with their volunteer management practices.
  • Respond promptly to requests for technical assistance, offering solutions and support to address challenges and enhance program outcomes.
5. Participation in EngageKY Staff Meetings and Events (5%)
  • Participate in EngageKY staff meetings, retreats, events, and GERO meetings.
  • Uphold EngageKY values in all work tasks and activities.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in collaboratively designing and implementing programs and events that align with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support program evaluation and improvement.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Stream applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to describe data outcomes for the general public.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects, handle numerous tasks, and meet fast-paced deadlines.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations to diverse audiences.
