Position Summary
The Art Education program at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia invites applications for a Lecturer position in Art Education with expertise in online instruction, digital art education, and contemporary art pedagogy. The person in this role will have an opportunity to influence student perspectives on critical and cultural diversity through contemporary art and cultural pedagogy. Successful candidates will join a vibrant interdisciplinary community and contribute to the field of art education and online teaching and learning at the University of Georgia.
Responsibilities:
● Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in person and online.
● Teach two sections of Cultural Diversity in American Art each semester, a course developed and administered by the Art Education program that satisfies a general elective for the entire university.
● Assist in administering an online MAED program.
● Collaborate and liaise with the University’s online unit.
● Actively contribute to the art department community through building a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
