Job Summary

The National Transportation Center’s Program Administrator supports research projects and education, workforce development, and outreach activities by managing the day-to day administrative task.

Job Duties
  • Proposal shepherding: supporting faculty in developing proposals, budgets, and financial narratives for research proposals and existing grants
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with university and sponsor requirements, and identifying and addressing compliance issues
  • Communication: Communicating critical information to principal investigators and disseminating information about changes to research policy and procedures
  • Other related activities assigned by the Director as needed
Requested Minimum Qualifications

Education:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Communication, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:
At least one year of administration experience is required.

Other Preferences for Consideration

A Master’s Degree in Transportation, Communication, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

  • Exhibits a positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Occasional center administration may be required in addition to research administration
  • Experience in administration, especially research administration is highly preferred
