Environmental Studies. Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, tenure-track position, to start in September 2025.  Ph.D. in environmental studies/sciences, environmental economics, coastal management, or a related field required. We seek an active and engaged colleague who has research and teaching strengths in the environmental social sciences with expertise in coastal systems. We seek a researcher and educator who is strongly committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduates, and interested in working with undergraduate researchers. The candidate would teach seven courses per academic year (3-1-3) for the environmental studies major and coastal management minor, including Introduction to Environmental Studies, Introduction to Coastal Management, and at least two upper-division coastal social science courses (such as Coastal Hazards or Coastal Ecosystem-Based Management), and the environmental studies senior research methods course. In addition, the ability to teach sections of Geographic Information Systems and Statistics would be beneficial. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop further electives in their area of expertise.

Participation in an interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in the two-semester first-year program.
