Visiting Assistant Professor, Graphic Design

The Art Department at Wheaton College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant faculty position in Graphic Design to begin Fall 2025. We encourage applications from candidates with a wide range of design-related expertise, and who hold a terminal degree (MFA or equivalent). 

Teaching load is three courses per semester. Course assignment includes: Graphic Design 1, Graphic Design 2, Creativity and Design, and either Art Survey or a class in another media related to the applicant’s skills and interest, for example, printmaking, drawing, or sculpture.

The Wheaton College Art Department seeks to understand and shape the world through intellectual inquiry, material investigation, and artistic action. We value community and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and are distinctly aware of the theological insights unique to visual art. Our Studio Art major combines hands-on practice with historical, theoretical, and critical dialogue, and we serve the wider student body through general education classes.
