Women's Volleyball: Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Job Type
Full-time
Assist with all aspects of NCAA Division 1 womens volleyball program; includes student-athletes recruitment, scouting, on and off court coaching, on and off court development, and monitoring academic progress. Must comply with all NCAA and Saint Mary's College rules, regulations, and by-laws. Other duties will be assigned by Head Coach may include summer camps, donors, community service involvement, and on campus involvement.
Requirements
- Recruiting Coordinator: Responsible for evaluating and organizing recruitment of prospective student athletes. Constantly creating leads on prospects that could potentially be a great fit for our program. This includes the documentation in software, phone calls, e-mails, and written correspondence. Daily networking with high school, club, and junior college coaches. Assist with on and off campus visits.
- Assist with organizing practice and scouting for intercollegiate competition. Teach the necessary skills and strategies towards developing a championship level culture. Including the use of scouting and video software.
- Video: Responsible for all video aspects of our program including but not limited to filming of practice and games, scouting and video uploading for WCC requirements, and help staff with individual film breakdown after every practice and game.
- Promote and foster a positive team environment, appropriate behavior, and sportsmanship by team members.
- Travel: Anticipating, preparing, planning and organizing all aspects of travel related to the Women's Volleyball team.
- Work diligently to promote womens volleyball program to surrounding communities. Work with campus groups to promote womens basketball program among students, faculty, and staff.
- Facility Schedules: Coordinate all information and details with all appropriate staff to include the University Credit Union and Madigan staff, event Management staff, etc.; work closely with the Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball staff and academics to coordinate practice schedules.
