Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls, Make appointments, Check in and check out, Collect payments in absence of Associate
  • Triage patients, vital signs, reconcile home medications, obtain health history
  • Administer vaccines according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Administer IM/SQ/Intradermal medications
  • Administer oral medications
  • Perform EKGs
  • Administer nebulizer treatments
  • Venipuncture
  • Perform urinalysis and glucose testing
  • Assist with Referrals to AUM and outside AUM as needed
  • Assist with AUM Orientations and give presentations as needed
  • Discuss results with patient via phone, email, and portal as needed
  • Assist with STD clinic within Warhawk Health Services
  • Assist with women’s health exams and minor in-office procedures
  • Assist with onsite Flu clinics
  • Perform x-rays
  • Transport labs to State Lab
  • Maintain BLS certification every 2 years
  • Provide culturally competent care
  • Directly engage in cross-cultural interactions with patients
  • Secures patient information, maintains patient confidentiality, and complies with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Order medical supplies and maintain inventory
  • Cleans patient rooms and maintain medical supplies in rooms
  • Other duties as delegated by the Director
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • 1 year minimum experience as CMA
  • Completion of medical assistant program required
  • BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with EMR preferred
