Purpose of Position
The Program Coordinator, Training, will work under the direction of the Program Manager, Training to ensure the implementation of the EngageKY training plan for all programs in the organization. The coordinator role will assist in the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of training activities aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of the EngageKY staff, AmeriCorps members, and volunteers.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Training Development, Coordination, and Implementation (40%)
Assist the program manager (PM) in the development and implementation of training programs for all programs supported by EngageKY. Currently the program includes: Kentucky College Coaches, EngageKY VISTA and Communities Thriving VISTA, EngageKY+, and the EngageKY Foster Grandparents program. Develop skills in co-creation and assist PM in using the methodology in appropriate training initiatives. Coordinate training schedules, venues, materials, and logistics to ensure smooth execution of training events. Prior to in-person training events, work with the office manager to organize the materials at the EngageKY office for the training, and arrange for transportation of materials to the location.
2. Record-Keeping (20%)
Maintain and update training records, databases, evaluations, and general documentation. Prepare training reports and summaries, highlighting key outcomes and areas for improvement.
3. Materials, Support, and Communication (20%)
Support the facilitation of training sessions, workshops, and seminars by preparing materials. Provide technical support during virtual training sessions. Learn facilitation techniques and fill in for the director when needed. Complete follow-up tasks after virtual and in-person training. Communicate effectively with staff, trainers, AmeriCorps members, and other training participants regarding training activities. Serve as a point of contact for training-related inquiries and support.
4. Data Collection and Evaluation (15%)
Collect and analyze feedback from training participants to identify areas for improvement. Assist PM in the continuous enhancement of training programs based on participant feedback.
5. Participation in EngageKY Staff Meetings and Events (5%)
Participate in EngageKY staff meetings, retreats, events, and GERO meetings. Uphold EngageKY values in all work tasks and activities. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills..
- Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Stream applications.
- Proficient in using training software and virtual tools (e.g., Canva, virtual training platforms such as zoom or Teams).
- Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects, handle numerous tasks, and meet fast-paced deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with AmeriCorps programs or similar national service programs is preferred.
- Experience with co-creation activities is preferred.
