Job Description
Missouri S&T, a NCAA II institution in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is accepting applications for an assistant football coach to coach wide receivers.
This is a full-time position with general responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the head football coach in the coordination and supervision of the football program, planning practices, designing and implementing football strategies and techniques, scouting opponents, and recruiting
- The individual must communicate effectively with others, including but not limited to, prospective student-athletes, parents, boosters, other coaches, support staff, campus departments, and administration
- Specific responsibilities include leading, coaching, and supervising wide receivers
- The successful candidate must embrace the academic rigor and mission of the University by recruiting high achieving student-athletes
- They must be able to demonstrate excellence within their own career
- This person will be added to a talented coaching staff comprised of positive, enthusiastic coaches who have the skill set to build S&T football into a nationally ranked Division II program
- This position is responsible for the assurance that all assigned activities are operated in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations at the institutional and in the GLVC and NCAA
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful college coaching experience with wide receivers
- Knowledgeable about NCAA rules & regulations
- Experience at an NCAA Division II football program
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $30,000-$31,500 annually.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
