Profile

The Department of Architecture & Interior Design at the School of Architecture & Design is looking for a director for its Interior Design program, to start Fall 2025. We are looking for an energetic academic with a professional background in the field of interior design; in addition to administrative experience. The director will be in charge of developing innovative courses, assisting in faculty recruitment, and organizing activities such as student orientations, lecture series, etc. The successful candidate should be open to new design pedagogies and experimentation in design that would prepare graduates for the challenges facing the profession.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates should have a master’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, or a closely related field; to be hired at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice. They are expected to have administrative and teaching experience in addition to professional experience in the field. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Duration of position

This position is typically for a 3-year term, based on an annual contract, open for renewal pending mutual satisfaction.
