Summary
We are looking for a talented individual to join our multidisciplinary team to assist with the work on Alzheimer's disease and neurogenesis. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated with existing research experience capable of independently preparing and organizing lab reagents, performing experiments, and record keeping.
Job Duties
- Responsible for mouse colony development, validation, maintenance, genotyping.
- Responsible for tissue preparation such as mouse perfusion, brain isolation, sectioning, and staining.
- Responsible for generating data using confocal microscopy and RNA preparation for transcriptome analysis.
- Help maintain organization of lab protocols, reagents, and mouse strains.
- Analyze complex bioinformatics data along with generating figures of results.
- Perform complex procedures including mouse surgeries and refine protocols required for specific research projects.
- Conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
- Present and discuss results of experiments in laboratory group meeting sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
