Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to join our multidisciplinary team to assist with the work on Alzheimer's disease and neurogenesis. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated with existing research experience capable of independently preparing and organizing lab reagents, performing experiments, and record keeping.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for mouse colony development, validation, maintenance, genotyping.
  • Responsible for tissue preparation such as mouse perfusion, brain isolation, sectioning, and staining.
  • Responsible for generating data using confocal microscopy and RNA preparation for transcriptome analysis.
  • Help maintain organization of lab protocols, reagents, and mouse strains.
  • Analyze complex bioinformatics data along with generating figures of results.
  • Perform complex procedures including mouse surgeries and refine protocols required for specific research projects.
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
  • Present and discuss results of experiments in laboratory group meeting sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
