Fiscal Technician II (AD03/61121792), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 04. Salary range: $32,686.00 (minimum) - $46,578.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Data Import and Management for Raiser's Edge: Import daily receipts into Raiser's Edge software using .csv files or manual entry methods as needed; Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data before processing; maintain organized and accessible records for all transactions imported into Raiser's Edge; Prepare and deliver gift acknowledgements to donors; Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or errors in receipt records.
Monthly Healthcare Charge Analysis and Entry: Analyze healthcare charge data from provided Excel spreadsheets, comparing datasets for discrepancies; Investigate and resolve variances between datasets, ensuring data integrity; Manually input reconciled healthcare charges into Colleague on a monthly basis.
Entry of Departmental Charges into Colleague Software: Enter departmental charges from Excel spreadsheets into Colleague software twice weekly; Verify the accuracy of data to ensure error-free input and compliance with university accounting standards.
Cross-Training and Support for Receipting/Billing Activities: Support peak receipting/billing periods by assisting with processing payments, balancing accounts, and reconciling funds; Develop an understanding of the department's receipting processes to ensure consistent coverage during busy periods; Provide exceptional customer service to university stakeholders and students as needed; develop and document efficient workflows for managing repetitive tasks in Colleague.
Administrative and Process Improvement: Identify and implement manual process improvements, including leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows; Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, best practices, and operational guidelines; support the department in other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, bookkeeping, accounting, or similar role.
Preferred: Experience with Colleague ERP and Raiser’s Edge; Working experience with import/export functions with .CSV files; receipting functions within ERP systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis tools; Experience with Raiser's Edge and Colleague software (preferred but not required; training provided); Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in data management (preferred); Exceptional organizational skills and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
