Salary Range : $ 41,042 - $52,957 annually . Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work Location: The work location for this position is on-site/hybrid eligible .

The focus of this position is to provide primary instructional design support for the University’s six diverse Colleges, to include support for online, hybrid/blended, and face-to-face courses. This position works collaboratively with the Faculty Resource Center staff to support the core mission and goals of the Center.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with faculty to design and develop high-quality online, hybrid, hyflex, blended, or in-person courses using core principles of instructional design and adult learning theory
- Incorporate learning theory, instructional design, assessment strategies and current accepted practices in course design
- Integrate current technologies in course design to promote effective teaching strategies and to improve student learning experiences
- Collaborate with FRC team to schedule, organize, and lead quality assurance reviews of online courses
- Collaborate with the FRC development coordinator in the facilitation of workshops, trainings, and web conferences and/or participation in other public events sponsored by the FRC to keep campus informed regarding current industry standards in teaching and learning
- Assist faculty as a trainer, mentor, and administrator of the campus learning management system
- Work collaboratively with the FRC development coordinator to plan, implement, and facilitate faculty training and development programs
- Assist the FRC development coordinator in designing or developing grant opportunities for faculty development, enhancement, or certification in effective teaching practices
- Assist in launching software pilots that enhance online learning
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

- Potential interview dates: The week of February 3rd, 2025
- Potential start date: March 1st, 2025.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field is required
- Applicants must have proven experience providing direct
instructional design support to higher education faculty especially
for online, hybrid, hyflex, or blended learning course
development
- A Master’s degree in education, instructional design,
educational technology or related field is preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a foundation in instructional
design principles and the ability to apply them
- Strong candidates will have demonstrated application of
pedagogical practices and teaching strategies to enhance
learning
- Proven customer service experience is preferred
- Experience with the Canvas learning management system is highly
desired
- Experience using quality assurance rubrics for online course
improvement is preferred
- Strong candidates will have online or in-person teaching
experience preferably in a university setting
