Compensation and Benefits
Hiring Salary: $2,916.67/month
- This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position.
- Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in sport science and performance training. Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the strength and conditioning facility and programs for varsity student-athletes. As well as overseeing the collection and analysis of GPS data related to the health and performance of the Fresno State football team. The individual will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a performance program for a sport as assigned and other administrative responsibilities as delegated.
Major duties of the job include:
- Assist with the implementation of Sports Performance program for football
- Support the management and oversight of a comprehensive data collection and monitoring process
- Lead on the application of wearable technologies during practice, the data upload & management of all technologies into the team Athlete Management System
- Design and implement year-round, sport specific training programs for teams assigned
- Collaborate with Sports Medicine and Nutrition to determine best practices to impact the performance of student-athletes as well as return-to-play protocols.
- Effectively motivate athletes to excel to achieve maximum potential in all areas of performance.
- Maintain a professional level of communication between sport coaches, administrators and staff.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director for Strength and Conditioning
- Experience in using various technologies to collect and analyze performance data (VX Sport GPS, Vald force plates, 1080 sprint).
- Competence with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft and Google suites and analytics software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skill
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- At least 6 months experience working within a collegiate or professional setting
