Job Summary:

The Nano-biophysics Laboratory at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas Christian University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our interdisciplinary team working on the development of a groundbreaking AI-assisted sensing technology. This project will apply machine learning to detect changes in fluorescence spectra of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) exposed to critical neurotransmitters and hormones—serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine, and cortisol. Leveraging the unique NIR fluorescence and biocompatibility of GQDs developed in our lab, this technology will advance implantable, non-invasive health monitoring. This work aims to transform personalized diagnostics with real-time, implantable sensors capable of non-invasively monitoring critical biomarkers, improving accessibility, timeliness, and patient outcomes. Join us in this innovative research at the intersection of nanotechnology, AI, and biomedical engineering to drive forward the future of health monitoring.
