The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certification/board eligibility in Psychiatry and PA medical license are required. Applicants should have completed, or be completing, a 1-year fellowship in psychosomatic medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of trainees including medical students and psychiatric residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include provision of psychiatric consultations to patients hospitalized on the various services of the general hospital with appropriate follow-up as indicated.

The successful candidate will have experience in the field of psychiatry with a focus on psychosomatic medicine and adult psychiatry. Responsibilities also include emergency psychiatry; psychosomatic medicine (inpatient and outpatient); and establishment of diagnoses and provision of direct ongoing care and services to psychiatric outpatients.
