Clinical Research Coordinator needed to assist research teams in recruitment and study implementation for Penn funded research studies. This position will require working collaboratively with the research teams to accomplish study tasks, including but not limited to participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent and surveys, as well as study follow-up, drafting of study related materials such as letters and educational flyers, managing participant data via RedCap and Excel.
Job Description
Clinical Research Coordinator B needed to assist research teams in recruitment and study implementation for Penn funded research studies. This position will require working collaboratively with the research teams to accomplish study tasks, including but not limited to participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent and surveys, as well as study follow-up, drafting of study related materials such as letters and educational flyers, managing participant data via RedCap and Excel..
The Clinical Research Coordinator C will also establish study databases, will track and maintain study progress through report preparation and supervision of junior research coordinators and will assist the PI and manager with other programmatic activities, such as grant proposal submissions, manuscript development to promote the work of the Penn Medicine bioBank.
Job Responsibilities
CRC B:
- Lead all screening, recruitment, and consent protocols for research studies
- Administer surveys repeatedly over time with seriously ill patients and their family members
- Conduct interviews and record clinical office visits with patients and family members
- Perform qualitative data analysis on office visit and interview transcripts
- Maintain study databases and data tracking systems using REDCap
- Attend research team meetings
- Maintain regulatory compliance and IRB documentation
- Manage and oversee the work of students and research assistants
- Maintain relationships and collaborate with external health system partners and community organizations.
CRC C:

Qualifications
CRC B: A Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of clinical trial/clinical research experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree preferred. Experience with qualitative research methods and working with institutional review boards and human research subject protection regulations is required. Expertise in REDCap or database management strongly preferred.
CRC C: A Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of clinical/clinical research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienced required. Master's degree preferred. Experience with clinical research execution and institutional review boards and human research subject protection regulations is required. Expertise in REDCap or database management strongly preferred. Qualitative research experience preferred.
Strong computer skills are essential. Candidate must be comfortable and willing to learn to use REDCap and qualitative research methods. Candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including when working closely with diverse and socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals; highly organized; attentive to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to achieve collective goals; and flexibility to shift focus between multiple projects as needed. Prior qualitative research work is preferred. Demonstrated abilities to work with people experience distress and community organizations is preferred.

Targeted Pay Range: $52,661-$60,813 for CRC B/CRC C
This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
