Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:
The Assistant Director for Academic Advising in the Student Success Center (SSC) within CHHS is part of a developing collaborative SSC Leadership Team that promotes student success across the student experience. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Academic Advising, the Assistant Director serves as the primary leader for academic advising efforts and academic advisor development throughout the Student Success Center. Through the management of a team of professional advisors and by providing support to faculty advisors throughout the College, the Interim Assistant Director will work in collaboration with the Student Success Coordinator and the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Academic Advising to ensure that students receive high-quality academic advising that leads to student success.
Moreover, the Assistant Director collaborates with the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Academic Advising and the Student Success Coordinator to ensure that the comprehensive programming, academic success initiatives, and interprofessional activities throughout the Center are well executed and supported in alignment with the CHHS and SSC strategic plan.
